Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (File) UPDATED, 0800: Iran has begun enriching uranium with a more advanced centrifuge. The International Atomic Energy Agency finds, in its latest inspections report, that Tehran began feeding uranium hexaflouride to 174 IR-4 centrifuges at its underground Natanz complex. The installation breaches the 2015 nuclear deal with the 5+1 Powers, which limited Iran to its existing IR-1 centrifuges. But as the Rouhani Government suspended adherence to deal provisions, following the Trump Administration’s imposition of comprehensive sanctions, Iran began enriching underground with IR-2m centrifuges and moved three cascades of advanced models from the above-ground plant to the below-ground Fuel Enrichment Plant.
Iran Rejects Sequenced Nuclear Talks to Break Stalemate Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi: “You are the one who has left the deal, and you have to come back to the deal, and then we sit on the table” Iran publicly rejects sequenced nuclear talks, linking the removal of US sanctions to Tehran’s return to compliance with the 2015 deal between Tehran and the 5+1 Powers (US, UK, France, Germany, China, and Russia). The rebuff of the approach means it is unlikely that there will be any advance, at least in the open, before Iranian Presidential Elections in June.
European nations step back from showdown over Iran's threat to inspections of its nuclear facilities, hoping that Tehran may agree to informal discussions.

However, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said, “We cannot attribute responsibility at this time, and we do not have a complete picture of the extent of the damage.” The Pentagon repeated that there are no reports of casualties, but an American civilian contractor died after suffering a “cardiac episode” while sheltering from rockets.

Iran to Proceed with Limits on Nuclear Inspections Posted by Scott Lucas | Feb 22, 2021 | The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation Ali Akbar Salehi (L) with International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi, Tehran, February 21, 202 (AFP) Iran will proceed with limits on “snap” inspections of its nuclear programs. After a Sunday meeting in Tehran with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Tehran cushioned the step with a joint declaration that there will be “necessary” monitoring for up to three months. However, officials immediately added that the IAEA will not be given access to the surveillance videos. #Iran's AEOI, in a statement, said Iran will keep the monitoring equipment information (camera footages) for 3 months without giving IAEA access to tapes. It says if sanctions are fully terminated in 3 months, Iran will give them to the agency unless they will be deleted for good
