and senator mccain and senator carter all agreeing with thue amendment that has congress has a right to support and pass an ultimate deal and it looks like they will get the 67 votes required to get the veto. the president went on pbs and said iran is like to get a nuclear weapon in 13 years and zero breakout sessions. why don't we continue to have the talk about if sanctions which worked well until now, is the deal. >> he is saying they will pick a point and derail that. saying this is not acceptable and as a result this deal isn't okay. >> it is not always about president obama. i know he thinks it is but it isn't. and tony you made the best point. it isn't just republicans. how embarrassing would it be if

ahead, because when families are strong, america is strong. so i'm hitting the road to earn your vote. because it's your time and i hope you'll join me on this journey. we heard her say right there it's your time i hope you join me on this journey. not about her trying not to make it about her ambitions, her political ambitions, so very much a campaign where she's listening to other voters and she's doing small sessions with voters. she's not have a big speech until may, we're told. and what do we expect that may rally might be like? >> we're certainly going to hear a lot of -- to answer the big question -- why is she running for president? we know she's in. we know she has been preparing,

or public work when she was secretary of state. that's interesting, because the very first person i talked to when i got on the ground here in way was a democrat who said essentially the very same thing, saying she would like to vote for hillary clinton but she has a lot of questions about openness and transparency and wants to hear from hillary clinton. we do expect hillary clinton early in the week here. we expect her to do some small sessions not unlike the listens sessions she did in new york when she was running for senate. we don't expect a big event for several weeks, we hear. and we do know her 5ids will already been here and in new hampshire, and the question of course is how are they going to approach this what we do know is hillary clinton from her video, it's going to be all about focusing on the voters making

obama himself is a writer. and he enjoyed interaction. i can't say hillary loved the coverage he got. sometimes he can be thin skinned, too. >> the irony is i bet you if there was some metric to measure it barack obama's attitude towards the press corps is more similar to hillary clinton's now having been through this for six years than it was in 2008. >> there's no doubt that he's been through -- the relationship has been tested over these years. you know even though every president says they don't read this stuff, they read this stuff. and they react to it. but he does continue to have off the record sessions with reporters, conversations with reporters. he it is not a sense of embattlement that sometimes has consumed -- hillary, look one of the encouraging things from

worse. >> he did. he played a very big role and usually for worse. usually her defender but came back to haunt him. at the very beginning, she's going to be on her own. she's not going to have him at any of the rallies. i'm told he could join by summer has an important role to fund raise and he's her top strategist behind the scenes. the difference she's surrounded by a different set of people. a lot of them are obama advisors. that to me makes clear she knows she needs to have a different kind of campaign. >> they want him doing strategy inside because they want to be able to sort of control him and whereas she might do the one on one sessions he could do the big events because he's really good at that. >> think they could control bill clinton? >> they're going to try. >> thank you. still a lot to talk about. a wild police chase. the suspect on horse back caught on camera. also caught on camera the tasing and beating that followed and now the consequences. we've learned what is happening to some of the sheriff's

that small little white board which was terrific. we had a very big mobile white board. >> i can imagine it was bigger yes. >> it was bigger. and we used it actually a few sessions ago because i wanted to talk with iranians about all of the elements visually see all the puzzle pieces that had to come together. we arrayed them all up on the wide board. we translated that into a piece of paper which secretary kerry carried around with him because you could visually see all of the elements that had to be addressed and how the pieces fit together. then our experts used the white board on a regular basis to put up different formulas different calculations different numbers than the iranians could put up their numbers. other experts from other countries could put up their numbers. and the experts could have a field day in the kind of scientific discussions that were really quite remarkable led of course by secretary monez, our secretary of energy who is a nuclear physicist and terrific contributor to this effort. >> coincidence becauses that

iran now in place. but a final agreement is still months away. and not a done deal. negotiators have until the end of june to iron out the details. but there is a lot that can happen between now and then. >> president obama wasting no time selling the agreement, calling it a good deal. yet the landmark pact doing little to ease the standoff between the president and some in congress. the question will congress have the ability to approve or reject it. >> we're covering this story the way only cnn can, glynn ginning with global affairs correspondent elise labott live from switzerland. elise? >> well michaela it was a marathon week of sessions and then after an all-nighter, the negotiators finally came to a broad political framework that puts a lot of limits on iran's nuclear program. but also leaves a lot of it intact. let's talk the key points of the deal. it reduces iran's centrifuges, which enriched uranium by about

complex international negotiation. i really think it's proper carol, for congress to let the president complete these negotiations and not to interfere with those negotiations as those 47 senators did when they sent a letter to the iranian government just last month, in the middle of these negotiations. congress has a role to play of course. but that role will come after june 30th, when the administration has a deal or doesn't have a deal. and if a deal is arrived at they think of course congress will have to decide whether it supports it or not. one of the provisions will likely be that congress would have to lift at some point some of the statutory sanctions put in place by previous sessions of congress. that's the proper role for congress but not to interfere with the united states while we're at the negotiating table with the iranians and others. >> ambassador nicholas burns, thanks for your insight as always. i appreciate it. >> thank you, carol. still to come in the newsroom for city employees in san francisco, travel to indiana is now off limits.

politicians gain more punching kicking and gouging each other than waging war against other nations. >> the taiwanese parliament probably experiences some kind of episode of disruption in almost every session. >> during taiwan's two sessions per year, lawmakers have chewed over every option to prevent bills from being passed. literally. >> the craziest moment to me was definitely not a fight but this moment where one of the legislators, a woman, gets up in front of the legislature, grabs the paper away from the person who's holding it and eats it. so we can't vote on this bill because it's in her mouth and she's chewed it up, and there are people pulling her hair, trying to get her to spit it out. i mean, it was unbelievable. >> lately the speaker of the house has gotten smart, reading the proposals himself at the podium. but never fear, some taiwanese lawmakers have found a way around that one, too. >> he didn't have that podium
