Thank you, friends, for helping us get through the pandemic! And by friends, we mean Monica, Chandler, and the gang from the 1990s’ TV comedy. The antics of this quirky group of BFFs — omnipresent thanks to cable TV — gave us some laughs when we sorely needed them. Never mind that Ross and Rachel’s baby is 18 now, and that babe magnet Joey has gone totally gray in real life: When we heard that a “Friends” reunion special was coming to HBO Max, we were psyched. The show’s 10.6 million Twitter followers went wild. Alas, due to because of COVID, filming was (as Ross would put it)

Where was 'Friends' filmed? From Greenwich Village, London Marriott to LA's Warner Bros Ranch, all shooting spots

New York City
The sitcom was set in Manhattan, New York City, and therefore several establishing shots were filmed on location in the city. Even though the interiors of Monica’s apartment were filmed in Los Angeles, the exteriors were shot in Greenwich Village - a place now popular for restaurants and cafes in New York. Even the building where Monica lived is actually located on 90 Bedford Street at the corner of Grove Street in Greenwich Village. Also, ‘Friends’ showed the Central Perk café located below the apartment, in real life, a café called Little Owl does exist there and there are chances that it might have served as the fictional café.

Yahoo and AOL now join Apollo's vast empire as one of the biggest names in its portfolio. And that's saying something since Apollo also owns Chuck E Cheese, Claire's, CEVA Logistics, McGraw-Hill Education and Norwegian Cruise Line. How did the company manage to score so many high-profile investments? It's all down to their leadership and ownership.
Who owns Apollo?
Apollo is owned and operated by its managing partners Leon Black, Joshua Harris and Marc Rowan, along with its shareholders. The company also has over 400 investment professionals located at its offices in New York, New Delhi, Los Angeles, San Diego, London, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Madrid, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Mumbai. The most important name here is Leon Black, who was forced to step down from his role as CEO and Chairman of the Board after links with Jeffery Epstein.

Now, five months after the death of his father, Sheldon Solow, the real estate scion is reorganizing some of his varied ventures into a new holding company, the Soloviev Group.
The entity will encompass realty and development, in addition to hospitality, transportation and railroad, and agriculture and ranching divisions. Soloviev will serve as chairman, his son Hayden Soloviev as vice chairman and Michael J. Hershman as CEO, Solow Building Company announced Monday.
