Partisanship that we see in washington. the fact is, the last election, is the story of a lot of angry and frustrated people that felt that washington is not working to deal with their concerns. well, we have a situation where congress has done very little other than approving a supreme court justice. they have not dealt with healthcare, they have not dealt with immigration reform. they have not dealt with tax reform. they have not dealt with the budget. unless they begin to roll up their sleeves and start to deliver on these issues, you re going to have a very angry and frustrated constituency in the next election. neil: i m wondering when it comes to the tax cut thing and whether it ever materialized, looks like it will depend on republicans voting for it much as it looked like on the healthcare front it was only democrats voting for it is. that the way it is now? well, it shouldn t be that ....
Were going to do when they elected to you serve them. what the president is doing, as you say, not doing something on the daca issue, that was unconstitutional what president obama did. whether it s now on the csr payments, the insurance bailouts. of course now on the iran agreement. neil: but, i mean, i guess what i m asking is, will congress do something? i know there s they better. neil: the senate has far more rules, i know that. but even on the tax cut thing, i m beginning to wonder whether the votes are there. what do you think? i think the votes are definitely there in the house. the frame work that was unveiled a couple of weeks ago is where we want it to be, bringing it down. we said in the freedom caucus show us a tax frame work that cuts taxes that, simplifies the code and one is that conducive to producing economic growth and we ll support the budget and move it along. what we told the voters we would do. i m confident it ll get through the house. ....

Have more than one choice on the exchanges to a point where over four years, premiums don t double again. there are a lot of structural problems with obamacare that are going to come home to roost in a couple of years if we don t take action. neil: meanwhile, on the tax cut thing, is it your hope to make them retroactive? i think on some of them we can. what we have to do is figure out to me, i m open to anything that i can have demonstrated to me, creates economic activity that gets us up to a 3% plus g.d.p. growth and the models show us that it works and we can pay for it but all options have to be on the table. even options that i don t like very much. when you do tax reform, you need to put all options on the table, model it and vote for the one that you re convinced will create a great economic outcome. neil: senator, thank you very, very much. good seeing you again. all right. now, earlier on, we were showing you jerry jones of the dallas cowboys on kneeling. ....
