He wants to indict trump. trump got a great gift in the last 24-48 hours with these revelations in which biden has done not just same but worse with what he did with these classified documents. it made garland s approach to trying to indict trump very hard. i don t think garland s doj is going to pursue anything meaningful with this biden situation. it has made it hard for him to pursue trying to get trump indicted over classified documents at mara largo. ned, you raised this point earlier. it bears repeating. of all the topics and issues facing this country, isn t it curious that ukraine ends up being one of the subjects of the classified documents? that s kind of odd. here goes ukraine again. biden and ukraine, again, and ....
Has already as we talked about earlier in this program, laid out a whole series of investigations that they re planning to have against the democrats and against joe biden. chris, may i make a quick point on that? sure, go ahead. remember mueller when there was a house republican party, they did everything they could to interfere, stall, shake down the department to get information. it s not supposed to work that way. i don t think garland will let it work that way. but that will be part of what s happening. i think, by the way, you won t see a high profile person, you ll see a very well respected career professional. it has to come from outside the department. might be a former u.s. attorney. could well be a republican. the broad middle of professional and professional lawyers will understand this helps for objectivity, dispassion. but just as brian says, there s no way around the hornet s nest that this will be to house ....
Sometimes it s hard to prove significant violence, so i wouldn t criticize them too much on the work they re doing. these are really, really challenging, complex cases with the violence. i do think garland needs to make a commitment to go after the instigators, the big lie perpetrators. i don t know if he ll do that today, but i hope he does. we ll listen to the attorney general later, and of course, are there politics involved in this. there is a legal justice in the house of representatives who think garland has failed the test. listen. merrick garland has been extremely weak, and i think there should be a lot more of the organizers of january 6 that should be arrested by now. we have, again, an attorney general who is feckless and has not been helpful in preserving our democracy. feckless is a very tough word to hear from another democrat ....
Immunity is not going to be prosecuted criminally later. i think that s a big problem. and the other thing i m really worried about while we re bearing our soul i m just afraid garland s not going to do anything. i m sorry, who s not going to do anything? i don t think garland oh, garland. merrick garland. yeah. i don t think there s any investigation going on. there s no evidence of a grand jury. there s no evidence that witnesses are being called in. and i m afraid that i mean, he seems like a very decent, honorable guy. he s very good on voting rights, but he s ultimately an appellate judge. and what we have is an appellate judge who s accustomed to a lot of caution and afraid to get in the political fray. and right now we need that. we need somebody who s willing to put the justice department you know, put the pedal to the metal with the justice department and get serious about a grand jury investigation. and i think we re going to have to start to admit to ourselves ....
