She is the first of for strong nominees to our nation Circuit Court that the senate will confirm this week. Professor barretts experience as it was law professor at the university of notre dame shows her qualifications to serve our nation on the federal bench. She is going to be an asset to our judiciary. Of course, some on the left have tried to invent any reason to prevent this president nominees from advancing. For an outstanding nominee like professor barrett was not easy. Are rich and can hire fancy accountants and lawyers and lobbyists to help create special tax statuses. Im talking about americans dependent on Government Programs many im not talking about disability or Social Security or medicare, programs they made into. Im talking about programs that assist antipoverty programs. Something else we should talk about again. Some are not working in terms of helping people escape poverty. Im talking about people who work and make just enough not to qualify for any of that stuff but not enough to afford the cost of living. Not just them. You add to that the cost of raising children. Its more expensive to raise children more than ever. There is nothing we can do in tax reform by itself that solves all of those problems, but there is no way we can do tax reform without addressing the millions of americans who feel every time there is a debat ....

Circuit courts sit directly below the Supreme Court in our judicial system. And because the Supreme Court reviews relatively few or a smaller number of cases, many times the Circuit Courts have the last word in the majority of our of those cases. So it is essential that we have judges on the Circuit Court who will treat all litigants fairly. When i think about what do i want in a judge, i think fairness is the first thing that comes to mind. We were certainly lucky to have a professor of his caliber. Professor bibas then took a position on the faculty of the university of Pennsylvania Law School where he has been teaching since. Professor bibas has been prolific in his academic writings, publishing numerous articles on all aspects of criminal law. His Academic Work culminated in the publication of his book entitled the machinery of criminal justice. That book was published 2012. In this book and many of his articles, professor bibas criticized the current model of bureaucratic assemblyline justice and americas high incarceration rate. Much of his work has been devoted to finding solutions to these problems. His Academic Work has certainly had an impact on the law.
