i'm proud to have done it. they wanted to get it back, right? there be no question. >> we celebrate. that yeah? >> we didn't. we did something that was a miracle. when i walked onto the stage today, a gentleman in the back, probably works for fox, nice guy, said, sir, that like to thank. you i said, for what? he said, you save 2 million lives in the last three years. you've saved 2 million lives. i said, thank you very much. i know exactly what you meant. 2 million lives. no one has done more in that regard than me. >> that is perhaps the most important emission from donald trump last night. again, breaking, about being the one to eliminate a constitutional right for women's health care that has stood for over 50 years. >> here is donald trump's problem. he goes into, i would call it softball -- a softball event. i've never seen one a fawning.

i said, "thank you very much. i knew exactly what he meant." 2 million lives. >> that is perhaps the most important admission from donald trump last night, again bragging about being the one to eliminate a constitutional right for women's health care that has stood for over 50 years. >> and here's donald trump's problem, is he goes into, i would call it softball, a softball event. i've never seen one as fawning. i'm not even sure, why did they have two hosts there? they could have just had one, sit there and smile and say, "you're great. great." ask another softball question. it's like t-ball. he swung, hit the tee, and the ball rolled off. he bragged, katty, about

terminating roe v. wade. he said, "if it weren't for me, that 10-year-old girl in ohio that was raped by an illegal immigrant, if it weren't for me, she wouldn't have had to flee the state. if it weren't for me, women wouldn't be, like, dying outside of emergency rooms because doctors are afraid to conduct women's health care." he admitted. again, it was such an easy forum. it's not like he was backed into the corner. he admitted he was the one who terminated roe v. wade. what did the biden people do last night? they're just hanging out. they were probably laughing at all the republican chaos in the debate. then laughing at the fox news hosts who were just absolute jokes. it was an embarrassment. fox news, oh, we're going to be for desantis. even desantis' people were like, seriously? this is a paid advertisement for donald trump, which it was.

what is happening here is an attempt by republican presidential candidates and other leaders who know their views on women's health care are out of touch with the public. they are trying to change the parameters of the debate. they are doing that by inaccurately describing the positions of leaders on the other side. as you just heard, as i just outlined, abortions in later stages of pregnancy are extremely rare. and they are almost always the result of a devastating choice to save the life of the mother, or because of a baby that a couple desperately wanted could not survive outside the womb. it is not a preference, it is a personal tragedy for these couples. are rhonda santos and tim scott in favor of a mother dying as a result of her pregnancy? if a doctor determines a baby cannot survive outside of the womb, should a mother be required to carry that baby to term? and those choices should not be made by any politician or legislator, they should be made by the woman carrying the baby and by her doctor. that is what democrats are

there are many ways the moderators can ask a question on wednesday night about his legal issues, about the indictments. they indicated they are going to in some capacity, we will see. i know you are not advising fox, but what do you hope they ask? >> well, again, i would ask whether they have any platform for the real issues facing the country. before the dobbs decision, all i heard from republicans in the house was that abortion was murder, and it was a genocide, and it should be a crime. they all signed up to make it a federal crime, then after dobbs and after the good people of kansas, and a bunch of other states have completely repudiated their right wing extremism against women's health care, and sovereignty of where their own lives, now the cat has got their tongue. they don't mention abortion anymore. i would like fox to nail them down on this, at least for the anti choice movement, if not for the rest of america which stands up for freedom. how many of them would support

so this has to be a choice. so yes, in this period, they are thinking a lot about the battleground states. the different pathways to an electoral college majority. what kind of organization they have to put in place. what core contrast to they want to draw. i think it's different against trump than the rest of the field. i think trump gives you a lot of targets. the biggest one, people don't want to go to the drama. people he's promising another coup. the battle for the economy is always critical. i think in this presidential election, the economies went going to be the key issue, women's health care, climate change, we are going to have a lot of issues that are going to compete with it. you have to at least get to a draw on the economy. the important thing is you've got to communicate, as you know, jen, maybe it's not a great thing, but the reality is it's very easy to reach people with messages that you think are going to be most persuasive to them. that is starting now in august, and will go all the way through next november. you've got to have every
