Veteran finance exec Drew Vollero, who shepherded Snapchat parent Snap’s initial public offering in 2017, has joined Reddit as its first CFO — as the internet discussion site is mulling an IPO of its own.
Vollero, who has 30-plus years of industry experience including a 15-year stint at Mattel, will assume leadership of Reddit’s finance team starting later in March and report to Reddit COO Jen Wong.

“Drew is an industry thought leader who brings a track record of building a global finance organization for high growth companies,” Steve Huffman, co-founder and CEO of Reddit, said in a statement. “He will be a tremendous addition to our Executive Team, as Reddit continues accelerating our business and user growth.” The company is laying the groundwork for an IPO but has no timeline on going public, Huffman told the New York Times.

The annual Raukotahi Marae Waka Ama Challenge on the Whanganui Awa drew 450 kaihoe (paddlers) from 10 marae and six kura.
Organiser Seletar Taputoro said the annual event allows uri of Te Awa o Whanganui to come together and celebrate the awa, Whanganuitanga and competitive nature, all in one day.
"Waka ama is only a vessel to unite our iwi and anyone can participate regardless of your experience, age or fitness level.

T&D Dog of the Week: Dave | 105.9 The Brew

This week we'd like to feature Dave, a sweet, older German Shepard. Dave is a 7 year, 8 month old German Shepard who is 87 pounds full of love! He’s really a sweet boy whose hips have seen better days (as is fairly common with older GSDs). He loves people and loves playing with toys.  He also loves chasing small animals and livestock, so he needs to go to a home with no cats, small dogs, chickens, etc. He’s friendly with other large friendly dogs, but will need to meet any potential canine companions before being adopted. He’s a bit of a puller on leash and we’re currently working on that. He does a lot better while wearing a harness and doesn’t pull as much as he does with a leash on his collar. 50 First Dates actor spoke about how she empathizes with the singer and also relates to her struggle as she highlighted how her own fame at a young age adversely impacted her life.
"I have so much empathy toward so many people. I'm sure that people look on and think, 'These party girls, these privileges, how dare they have feelings about any of this? They've put themselves out there, they've asked for this—it's fair [expletive] game.' And I just go, 'They're humans. They're just humans,'" Barrymore said.
