TOKYO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- China claimed two golds and four silvers as the badminton competitions at the Tokyo Olympics concluded on Monday night.
Eight teams harvested a total of 15 medals at Tokyo 2020. The medal table was still dominated by Asian teams, while China stood at the top by snatching two golds in the mixed doubles and women's singles.
China was the also only team to progress to the finals in all five disciplines.
In the mixed doubles, China's Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping and two-time world champions Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong bagged one gold and one silver respectively. Women's singles shuttler Chen Yufei triumphed over Chinese Taipei's world No.1 Tai Tzu-ying to claim another gold.

South Korea's badminton association is lodging a formal complaint after a Chinese Olympian appeared to repeatedly and loudly drop f-bombs in Mandarin during a match at the Tokyo Games.
Chen Qingchen, 24, shouted "wocao", which in Mandarin loosely translates to "f***", many times during the live televised broadcast of her women's doubles match against South Korea on July 27.
The slang phrase is considered impolite but does not carry the same weight as the English translation and is commonly used in casual speech.
