Newsom Approves Taxpayer-Funded Health Benefits for Elderly Illegals

27 Jul 2021
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), facing a looming recall election, has approved California health benefits for older illegal aliens, costing taxpayers at least $1.3 billion.
On Tuesday, Newsom signed AB 133 into law, opening the state’s Medi-Cal rolls to illegal aliens who are 50 years old and older which the governor’s office called “a major milestone in the state’s progress toward universal health coverage.”
An estimated 235,000 illegal alien residents in California who are 50 years old and older will now be eligible to take advantage of Medi-Cal benefits like preventive, long-term, and in-home supportive services.
“We’re investing California’s historic surplus to accomplish transformative changes we’ve long dreamed of — including this historic Medi-Cal expansion to ensure thousands of older undocumented Californians, many of whom have been serving on the front lines of the pandemic, can access critical health care services,” Newsom said.

Blue States Spearhead Plan Giving Health Benefits to Illegal Alien Seniors

26 Jul 2021
Multiple blue states, with Democrat legislatures and governors, are spearheading plans that provide American taxpayer-funded health benefits to illegal alien senior citizens — an effort likely to entice healthcare migration to the states.
Illinois, California, and Oregon are implementing plans that allow illegal aliens, including senior citizens, to take advantage of health benefits. Open borders activists are currently lobbying New York state Democrats to pass similar plans.
The Associated Press detailed the initiatives:
[Illinois] dedicated $36 million of its recent $42 billion budget to expand coverage from those 65 and older to those 55 and older, including immigrants with legal status who don’t yet qualify for other help and those in the country illegally.

Fact Check: Three False Claims from TBS Host Samantha Bee's Gun Control Special

Wednesday’s episode of the TBS weekly late-night show
Full Frontal featured host Samantha Bee dedicating the entire episode to arguing for specific gun control measures that she says would be effective in an effort to stop gun violence in America. The episode was full of false claims.
The episode was titled, “Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns.” Bee’s main focus was to push for universal background checks and automobile-like safety regulations for firearms. She justified the need for these policies by claiming 40,000 people are killed in America each year by gun violence.
The segment opened with Bee describing America as a “hellscape of a country” where there “is a shooting” almost every day.

Biden Nominee Will Not Rule Out Taxpayer-Funded Healthcare for Illegals

25 Feb 2021
President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, dodged a question on whether he would push to provide American taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits to illegal aliens.
This week, during a hearing before the Senate Finance Committee, Becerra was asked by Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) about his previous support for decriminalizing illegal immigration and providing illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits.
Becerra, though, dodged the question by saying he would follow the parameters of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, which he said allows “very rare” cases of illegal aliens to receive benefits.

Report: Biden's HHS Secretary Nominee Eyes Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

22 Feb 2021
President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Attorney General of California Xavier Becerra, is eyeing plans to provide illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits, according to a report.
Becerra, who will go before a Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday, has long advocated providing roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens with American healthcare.
A report in Politico reveals that those closest to Becerra say he is potentially interested in pursuing executive policy initiatives as HHS Secretary, if confirmed, that would provide illegal aliens with healthcare.
But interviews with 15 Becerra friends, colleagues, and allies, as well as health care experts, suggest that
