Disney Is Developing Dozens Of Adult Animated Series Through A New TV Unit The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and American Dad, while developing and producing new animated series. The group says that it has “dozens” of additional projects in development. The new division will be led by executive Marci Proietto, who also worked on these shows at 20th Century Television (prior to 21st Century Fox’s merger with the Walt Disney Company). While Disney+ is advertising the service as including "Star Originals," they aren't exactly that at launch. Love, Victor and Solar Opposites, for instance, are both Hulu shows, but as Disney owns Hulu, they're technically being classified as "Star Originals." Basically, they're part of the Disney family, but they've not been specifically produced for the Star platform. However, that's not always going to be the case.
