Zambia : Zambia has laid strong foundation for prosperity -Bwalya


Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia with extra accreditation to New Zealand Frank Bwalya says the Government has laid a strong foundation for Zambia’s prosperity through the massive infrastructure it has built in various sectors of the economy.
Mr Bwalya made the remarks when the Divisional Manager, for Middle East and Africa at New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Stuart Horne paid a courtesy call on him at the Mission in Canberra.
He said the development of infrastructure by the Government provided a solid Launch pad for economic recovery and its offshoots of job creation, better living standards for all people as well as the lower taxes that a strong economy delivers. ....

New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta has said that a long-serving employee at the New Zealand High Commission in India has died of Covid-19,
The Indian Express reported on Thursday. The minister said the employee died on May 16 in a hospital.
This is the same staffer, an Indian citizen, for whom the embassy had sought help on social media from the youth unit of the Congress on May 2. The embassy had tweeted, asking the youth outfit for assistance, but deleted it soon afterwards. After that, the High Commission said their appeal was misinterpreted and apologised ....
