JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars expect quarterback Trevor Lawrence to be fully cleared to practice by training camp next month.
Lawrence was a limited participant as the Jaguars opened a two-day, mandatory minicamp Monday that signals the end of their offseason program. The former Clemson star and No. 1 draft pick wore a compression sleeve on his left leg to help his hamstring, which he tweaked during practice last week.

Jacksonville Jaguars Mock 2021 Offseason: Who Do We Sign, Draft, and Trade For? - Sports Illustrated Jacksonville Jaguars News, Analysis and More

We’re so close.
The official start of the 2021 NFL season is just six short days away (March 17). At that point, trades will become official and the free agency period will open, with the NFL Draft (April 29) looming in the close future as well.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to be aggressive throughout the offseason in its pursuit of new players to join its new coaching staff, due to both the bounty of resources it has available and head coach Urban Meyer’s desire to make the team competitive as soon as possible:
“Other than developing culture, the most important thing is talent acquisition,” Meyer recently told Jaguars.com. “I can't imagine a more important month for the Jaguars' organization than the next month.”

THE PLAYERS Championship's greatest comeback

In This Article
It is a measure of how odd THE PLAYERS Championship was last year that while no one can forget it, almost no one remembers any golf. For the record, Hideki Matsuyama shot 63 to lead after an opening round that, like the tournament itself, was never completed.
Tense, real-time decision-making; Rubik’s Cube-level communication and coordination between local, state and federal agencies; a 144-way tie for first – whatever else it was, the 2020 PLAYERS was sui generis. It was also a whole lot of tacos and margaritas that went unsold.
“It was second time in March for us,” says Don Nicol, owner of Taco Lu restaurant, which sets up behind the 12th green for Tacos on Twelve. “The year before had been a little disappointing, the weekend weather was chilly after being beautiful Tuesday through Friday. It was a dip in business.

O-Zone: No more apologies

Marlin from Newberry, FL
Hi, John: Regarding Jaguars defensive end K'Lavon Chaisson, you state that you would expect him to improve with a full year working with coaches. I hope he does, but watching him last year I can only think of a handful of plays that were highly impactful – and I don't remember any play where you said: "Wow, did you see what he did?" He finished with one sack and a couple tackles for loss. This is in contrast to defensive end Josh Allen, who had many impactful plays and more than a couple of "wow" plays as a rookie. Granted, Allen was taken very high in the draft (No. 7 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft) and Chaisson at (No.) 20 (in the 2020 NFL Draft), so you would expect Allen to be much better. My question is this: Did you see the improvement that you expected between Year 1 and 2 from Allen? I didn't, and it was (other than the quarterback play) the biggest disappointment of the season. Do you think the lack of progress (if you see it that way) was due to the significant drop-off in talent playing around him? Which season was the outlier, year one or two?
