As the Israel-Palestine ceasefire agreement holds, social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram (that is owned by Facebook), continue to come under fire over the censorship of pro-Palestinian content.
In times of conflict, any kind of censorship by major platforms can erase evidence of state-sanctioned violence, human rights abuses and potential war crimes against innocent civilians.

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D.-Mich.) sent out a tweet on Friday that forwarded a tweet from the pro-Palestinian Institute for Middle East Understanding and said that: “The Israeli apartheid government has no shame.”
The IMEU tweet that Tlaib forwarded included a short video from outside the Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
“Israeli apartheid doesn’t stop,” said the IMEU tweet. “This video shows Israeli forces TODAY invading Al Aqsa Mosque. They shot tear gas and stun grenades at worshippers.” ....

Last weekend in Atlanta, as hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators rallied downtown, one sign stood out in particular: “We can’t breathe since 1948,” it read – a nod to the social unrest of the last year that has followed the murder of George Floyd. 
Experts say it’s a reflection of the way that American support for the Palestinian cause is growing, a trend that a recent Gallup poll showed was on the rise even before the most recent Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
