When you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), whether it’s marked by frequent bouts of diarrhea (IBS-D), constipation (IBS-C), or mixed symptoms (IBS-M), you might be willing to try anything to relieve your symptoms.
Prescription medication may come with potential side effects and aren’t always as effective as advertised. If you’re concerned about going that route for relief, natural remedies may be helpful. In fact, they may be all you need to manage your IBS symptoms long-term.
“Some natural and over-the-counter remedies can completely put some IBS patients in remission,” says Brenda Powell, MD, medical director at Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe Health Department in Port Angeles, Washington. ....

Vaccine rollout: NY health service provider facing probe - The Hindu BusinessLine

According to a
New York Times report, New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital had given access to some hospital staff who did not belong to the high-risk community. Some hospital staff told the
Times that they raised concerns internally but have not overtly spoken out as they were apprehensive of professional retaliation.
“We take this very seriously and [the New York Department of Health] will be assisting State Police in a criminal investigation into this matter,” Zucker said of the ParCare allegations.
However, the company told Reuters that it is helping state health officials with the criminal investigation. It stated that it aims “to provide critical healthcare services and administer Covid-19 vaccinations to those qualified to receive them under the New York State Department of Health’s guidelines, which includes frontline healthcare workers and first responders.” ....

During the course of this “pandemic” and the self-inflicted crisis it has created, fewer words have received more of a workout than the word “hero.” Coming from a pre-9/11 generation, heroism has a certain meaning to me. This is what I think of when I think of heroism:
On Feb. 3, 1943, the U.S.A.T. Dorchester carrying 902 service men, merchant seamen and civilian workers was sunk in the cold Atlantic.
Through the pandemonium, according to those present, four Army chaplains brought hope in despair and light in darkness. Those chaplains were Lt. George L.
Fox, Methodist; Lt. Alexander D. Goode, Jewish; Lt. John P. Washington, Roman Catholic; and Lt. Clark V. Poling, Dutch Reformed. ....
