Could a Roman Pontiff Become the Antichrist?

Could a Roman Pontiff Become the Antichrist?
At first consideration, it would seem like a farfetched notion – that a religious leader, and one that is supposed to represent Christianity, would wind up being the Beast, a man the Bible foretells will make his appearance during these Last Days. But after contemplating some of the characteristics attributed to this soon to be revealed entity from off the pages of prophecy, maybe a case could be made for the possibility that such a person as the Antichrist could emerge from a religious institution. And what better place to start than Rome, a city that has been very prominent in early history and has been mentioned by Bible prophets to play a key role in end-time events.

'Mindy Project' Introduces Anal Sex, with Catholic Jabs and Roofies

Mindy Kaling, who came to fame with “The Office,” writes, produces and stars as an OB/GYN in the Fox comedy “The Mindy Project,” now in its third season. The Oct. 7 episode, “I Slipped,” focused on a new topic: anal sex. A topic not complete, as Kaling showed, without jokes that sexual “intent” means “they promote you to a Cardinal” as well as an eventful night of roofie-ing oneself.
To introduce the episode, Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) gushed, “I just happen to have found the most romantic boyfriend in the world.” But while, “every date is full of surprises,” she explained, “Not all surprises are equally romantic.”

North Carolina Catholic Parish Burns Books - American Church Faces Division over Pope Francis

It looks as though there is reactionary mischief throughout our institutions these days. As the
National Catholic Reportertells us, it's poisoning the life out in the parishes, too. Book-burning is, I admit, a bit of a flashback.
Fr. Matthew Codd, the then-pastor at St. Elizabeth's, was joined by a group of seminarians who went through the church's theology library and removed books deemed heretical, including those of spiritual writers Henri Nouwen and Thomas Merton. The books were later burned, she was told by a parish staff member. Lichtmann, a retired religious studies professor at Appalachian State University, left the region in part, she told NCR, because of the changes in the parish. She now lives in Georgia. "I felt it was a lost cause," she said about St. Elizabeth.
