NEW DELHI: Superior earnings from India Inc, especially the banking sector, has given a lease of life to investors who continued their buying spree even as the Covid-19 pandemic reached a grim milestone.
There are some consistent trends in the market now. One, despite the bad news on the pandemic front, the market has been maintaining the upside momentum. Two, FIIs have been consistent sellers and DIIs have been consistent buyers. These trends are likely to continue in the short run and markets are likely to remain strong, said an analyst.

Why the stock of Mishra Dhatu Nigam is a good long-term bet - The Hindu BusinessLine

Why the stock of Mishra Dhatu Nigam is a good long-term bet
Low leverage and decent growth prospects make it a good bet for long-term
Since our last buy call on Mishra Dhatu Nigam (Midhani) in October, 2020, the stock has fallen by about ten per cent. However the positive long term outlook on the company’s prospects remain intact and long term investors can look to buy at current levels.
Midhani is a PSU catering to the needs of India’s strategic sectors such as defence, space, atomic energy and aeronautics by supplying critical materials and alloys. With increased budgetary capital expenditure for defence for FY22 coupled with the newly introduced Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020,business prospects appear good for Midhani.

INS Chakra.
Snapshot
The Indian Navy is prioritising the SSN programme due to the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s growing presence in the Indian Ocean.
Indian Navy’s project to build nuclear-powered attack submarines (SSNs) is before the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) for approval, a report in the
Indian Today says.
The programme, which involves the design and construction of six SSNs, each displacing around 6,000 tonnes, is likely to put the Indian Navy’s plan to build a 65,000-tonne indigenous aircraft carrier on the back burner.
