The “Rally to Stop Socialism in America,” held on May 1 near the Shops at Rossmoor, brought people from all over Orange and Los Angeles County to protest the Biden’s administration Marxist leanings. Attendees were invited to play “Biden’s Blunders.” Looking at a list of blunders, they selected what they believe is the administration’s worst blunder. After making their selection, they put their name in for an opportunity drawing to win a $25 gift card to Hof’s Hut. (KB of Lakewood won the gift card.) The top five worst Biden Blunders selected by rally attendees are:

Health department offers Pfizer for ages 12-15 | West Orange Times & Observer | West Orange Times & Windermere Observer


Starting Thursday, May 13, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, in partnership with Orange County, will offer COVID-19 vaccinations for ages 12 and up at the county’s four recreation centers (Magic Gyms) and at the county’s Barnett Park. Walk-ups welcome; no appointments required.
In West Orange County, the shot is available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at West Orange Recreation Center, 309 S. West Crown Point Road, Winter Garden.
This opportunity for this age group was made possible through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recent granting of emergency-use authorization for Pfizer vaccines for ages 12 to 15.

2021 (virtual) Race with a View to promote mental wellness


The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and all are welcome to Move for Mental Health Awareness at Virtual Race With A View. This event, now in its 33rd year, benefits JFCS of Long Beach & West Orange County, who provides professional, affordable counseling and support to all, without regard for religion, race, socioeconomic status, gender identity, or immigration status. The event kicks off on May 1 and lasts through May 31. Registration is open now online at www.racewithaview.com and will continue throughout the month of May.
Virtual events have become normalized during the coronavirus pandemic, and gatherings with large numbers are still discouraged.

U.S. Army Reserve jets set for move to Los Alamitos base

The U.S. Army Reserve is planning to permanently relocate four passenger jets to Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos by this summer, adding about 200 takeoffs and landings per year.
The fleet of UC-35A Cessna Citation Ultras will move from Fort Hood, Texas with 18 soldiers assigned to 6th Battalion, 52nd Aviation Unit, according to a notice from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The aircraft are used by U.S. Transportation Command to fly military personnel and Department of Defense civilians on official business within the continental U.S.
Most of the UC-35A pilots work for commercial airlines and must commute across the country to perform their Army Reserve duties, according to the Corps. Fort Hood is serviced by a small regional airport that offers a limited number of flights.
