Incident caused no casualties or contamination, says official, as inquiry under way
about 19 hours ago

A problem with the electrical distribution grid of Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility caused an incident at the site on Sunday, Iranian Press TV reported, a day after Tehran launched new advanced uranium enrichment centrifuges at the site.
The Natanz facility, which is located in the desert in the central province of Isfahan, is the centrepiece of Iran’s uranium enrichment programme and monitored by inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN nuclear watchdog.
“The incident caused no casualties or contamination,” Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said, adding that “electricity was affected at the Natanz facility”. The cause was being investigated, Mr Kamalvandi told Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency. ....

An incident at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility on Sunday was caused by an act of “nuclear terrorism”, the country’s nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said, according to state television, adding that Tehran reserves the right to take action against the perpetrators.
Israel’s Kan public radio cited intelligence sources, whose nationality it did not disclose, as saying that Israel’s Mossad spy agency had carried out a cyber attack at the site. ....

RTÉ Prime Time bids to hold on to 100,000 new viewers with revamp

“They’re unusual numbers, I have to say,” Mr Downes said. “But we have seen it all through the pandemic. People want expertise, they want facts and they want serious analysis. They want the deep dive.”
In 2019, the average viewership for Prime Time was 267,000 and it had an audience share of about 20 per cent. In 2020, that increased to 362,000 and a 28 per cent share. There is little sign of fatigue to date. From the start of 2021 to mid-March, the audience averaged at 341,000.
“It’s a dividend of 100,000,” Mr Downes said. “And it is one of the reasons why we’re trying to refresh, or reboot, because we know that dividend isn’t going to last forever.” ....
