>> wesley took our lives away from us as we knew them. our lives have totally changed, and we'll never be all right. >> with the wesley stoltz case, we had this rare opportunity to interview both the offender and the victim's family. and it had a profound impact on me. it was heartbreaking. it was a difficult interview. i think we all left afterwards and we were all a little bit down. no matter what transpired that night, obviously there was a fight. but at the end of the day, this young man who was a father of a child and a beloved son of two people, was killed. what would you say now, wesley? >> i never wanted to hurt him. i didn't have vengeful thoughts. i didn't want to throw my life away. i didn't need to settle a score or payback. nothing like that. if there was anything i could do to fix it, i'm more than willing to do. but this is the first thing in my life that i can't, i don't know how to fix.
