>> news choppers 7 is live over the scene. you can see the pictures here. planes are now back open. orange kalends our blimp -- are marking where the crash happened. -- orange cones are marking where the crash happened. >> the name of the police officer who died is not been released just yet, but we do know that he had wanted to be an officer for years. >> while he had only been on the force a short while he had been part of the prince george's county police family for years since he was a young boy growing up in prince george's county. he was 23 years old, and had only been an officer there for about two and a half years. he grew up near the sixth district station where he was assigned. officers there were in tears after learning about their friend and colleague. as a teenager, the officers spend time at the station working as a police explore, and eventually entering the police academy, and finally realizing his dream of becoming an officer. >> that is why this district is taking it so hard. we have known him since he was 15, 16 years old. >> the mother of the fallen officer has been to the hospital and has met with other officers, including the chief of police. >> the second officer sustain not life-threatening injuries. he is expected to survive. he is described as a one-year veteran who was also very young and courageous. >> will continue tow this developing story as police search for the car involved in today's crash. >> a bus when of course today and crashed into a home in silver spring. people inside the home got an unwelcome visitor when the bus just crash through their front door. >> imagine this scene at this intersection earlier on today. that bus according to witnesses, coming some 45-50 miles per hour through this intersection and crashing the house to see behind me. for now, a silver spring family is without a home for the night. >> samuel was standing outside his butz as the rideon buses came barreling down the street. >> i ran back inside and it just zoomed right in front of me. >> the father of three watched as the bus slammed into his taxicab part in his driveway before landing inside his living room. inside the house, his two sons. his younger one was in the basement. >> i looked out the window and i saw a bus halfway through the house. >> the driver reportedly lost his brakes as he was coming down the hill. there were more than a dozen on board at the time. three passengers and driver were transported with minor injuries. one person to walk away without a scratch. the bus came just inches away from where he was slipping. -- sleeping. crews spent much of the day removing the damage taxi and bus from the living room of the house. the structure is condemned but tonight, the family, while shaking, is still very thankful. >> i spoke a few moments ago with the folks of the montgomery county righton. they said they plan a long investigation into exactly what took place here. the bus is a fairly new one. it is a 2011? question when it hired a high-level staufer for allegedly having sex with a student. the board would not comment. all in all, millions of dollars have been paid to providers who have cited problems. those funds went out through an entirely non-competitive process. it left the teenagers like amber kelsey high and dry. according to her mother, one tried to bribe her with a new pair of sneakers to sign the attendance sheet. throughout our investigation in the city has concealed information. they will only admit that the program has vastly improved since last year. in a statement, they wrote, we are very proud of the great progress being made. no other jurisdiction has achieved so much in so little time. but the results remain. steady. because they decided to leave so many in the city and not even service many of them, 15 have been murdered. another 15 have been arrested for murder. and of those served by the program, only 13 have graduated from high school. meanwhile, back in the northeast, maurice hall continued to steal cars. one night, maurice was writing in the back of a stolen car and he -- and someone started shooting. he took a bullet to the spine and will never walk
