up a little bit after what the president said last night. it certainly did not get dialled back. >> what was the intention? was it a threat? it certainly sounded that way. >> i interpreted as an unmistakable threat. as an attempt by the president to try to link these investigations with the well-being of everyday americans. he made it seem like the economic resurgence in this country over the last several years would come to a halt if there were paper san investigation into the president. but, a couple of things we should keep in mind, one it is congress' job and their obligation as a separate branch of government to do this sort of over sight on the administration. it was not done thoroughly over the last two years when republicans control the house but it will be under democratic control just as it was in the final years of the obama administration when republicans ran the house and launched the series of investigations including into the benghazi terror attacks. so this is normal for congress to deal with the administration
