overnight, it will kick up a little bit and not windy today. barely a breeze and that saved us with the extreme windchill values. we have cheer skies out there. 23 degrees in the city. gaithersburg, 19, winchester 22. fredericksburg, it is very, very cold. look across the bay. out there towards cambridge and then eastern. and stevensville, all in the upper teens. as long as the skies are clear and the wind remains fairly calm, the temperatures will be continuing to fall. and in some places quite rapidly over the next few hours. it is beginning to pick up in the next few hours. and it feels like 14 degrees and winchester and culpepper and fredericksburg, not much of a wind there. clear skies tonight. temperatures back down to the teens for everybody. we are not forecasting single digits out in the suburbs tonight, it is probably going to get into the lower teens which is good and cold for everybody. it looks like the cold weather sticks around. we will talk about the full forecast potentially life-threatening injuries we are told. three firefighters had to be taken to the hospital. cold temperatures made battling the fire tricky. >> obviously we have to fight fire with water and that does add slippery conditions. not only on the scene but on the roadways. it appears the fire accidentally started in the kitchen. there were smoke detector insist the home and they were not working. >> a driver, several parked cars and one pedestrian all involved in this crash in bethesda this afternoon. it happened in the parking lot of the giant grocery store. and in montrose and no one was seriously hurt. the driver had some type of medical emergency and that may have caused the accident. >> it will cost you roughly $3.11 to top off your tank. that's the current national average for gas and in frederick today, the fill up was free. that's right a big fat goose egg, the church of fredericks sponsored the giveaway and they got free gas. so what is behind the ben they have lens.
