Minister Musharrafieh: 'Syria welcomed the work for the return of the displaced, and guaranteed that the return will be dignified and safe. We are working to ensure this return, as soon as possible'.
Tourism and Social Affairs Minister, Dr. Ramzi Musharrafieh, affirmed that the discussions he had with Syrian officials during his recent visit to Damascus 'Were more than positive and very encouraging' and that all the ministers he had met expressed their full readiness 'To work with us to activate the file of return of the displaced'. Musharrafieh also said that he had received guarantees that 'A dignified and safe return will be achieved, whereby the safety and dignity of the displaced Syrians will be preserved'.

NNA - President Michel Aoun met Finance Minister, Ghazi Wazny, today at Baabda Palace.
Minister Wazny declared a decision to communicate with Alvarez & Marsal company, to follow-up forensic audit in Central Bank accounts, Ministries, independent interests and public institutions, whatever the nature of these accounts.
Former Minister, Salim Jreisatti, and Presidency Director-General, Dr. Antoine Choucair, attended the meeting.

After the meeting, the Finance Minister made the following statement:
“A meeting, chaired by His Excellency the President, was held today. It was decided, based on the Parliament’s Law and Cabinet decisions, to communicate with Alvarez & Marsal, to follow-up the forensic audit in the accounts of BDL, Ministries, independent interests, funds and public institutions, whatever the nature of these accounts.

Mom Has Best Reaction When Son Sneaks Into Family Photo After Studying Abroad.

A mom and dad in Beirut, Lebanon, got the best holiday gift when their son, Antoine Choucair, made a surprise appearance after six months of studying abroad. His sisters, Marion and Aurélie, were in on his return, and they staged a family photo to pull off the wonderful reveal!
In a video, his parents are sitting down facing the camera while his sisters set up a timed photo. Just as the picture is about to be taken, Antoine appears behind them and asks, “Are you going to take the picture without me?” Once it all sinks in, his mom cries, “My son, my love, my life” as she stands up to hug her baby for the first time in half a year.

NNA - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, on Thursday met the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League of Arab States, Ambassador Houssam Zaki, today at the Presidential Palace.
The President told Ambassador Zaki that “Lebanon looks forward to a unified Arab position toward the economic and social difficulties it suffers from, after the series of events which have occurred during past years. Especially, including the influx of displaced Syrians to Lebanon, whose numbers exceed one and half million by now”.
“Direct and indirect material losses, especially economic losses which Lebanon incurred as a result, since 2011 until last year, exceeded 54 billion US Dollars, according to IMF reports” the President added.

The President indicated that the “Measures taken to prevent this pandemic are necessary to protect society”, stressing the importance of taking various prevention measures, especially during the holidays, and the activities and celebrations accompanied.
