President ial election in which folks are voting in more than 40 states, millions of votes have already been cast, and just a week after that election, the Supreme Court is going to hear a case that could take away Health Care Protections for more than half of all americans. This is not an abstract, academic argument, this is one that will have reallife consequences. Destroying the essential protections of the Affordable Care act which was enacted just more than a decade ago would majorityal impact on a of all americans. It prevents Insurance Companies from discriminating against the more than 100 million americans with preexisting conditions like diabetes or heart disease. It dramatically expanded medicaid and it provides coverage to kids on their par ....

Interference charges. Now, i will remind you, the court could have just affirmed the u. S. District courts ruling that, no, a president ial does not have absolute immunity. But that was not the decision tonight. And while hearing the case does not mean that ultimately they will rule in trumps favor, the highest court in the land just gave trump something that he has been aggressively fighting for, time. The Oral Arguments in the case have been set for the week of april 22nd, nearly two months from now. Why so much time . And after that, even in a best case scenario, it will be a few weeks before a decision comes down. That is the best case considering we know that there are at least some of the Supreme Court justices who dont agree with the earlier rulings. Otherwise, they would not be hearing the case. And if the court does decide to affirm the earlier ruling, as they should, ....
Thank you for that nice introduction. I will be talk about one of my more favorite topics relating to the home. That is early electric appliances. These are the types of appliances that your grandmother may not have used. Perhaps your great grandmother or great great grandmother. We are talking late 19th, early 20th century. Sometime between 1890 to 1920. What i will be talking about specifically is why it took so long for these portable electric cooking appliances to be a adopted. You can see some early electric appliances, probably at a sanitary fair. The new york and queens electric light company. Between 1912 and 1914. You can see in the cabinet a whole array of appliances available to the happy homemaker during that period. Consumers, even with this picture, consumers do not automatically adopt using portable electric cooking appliances merely upon the introduction of ellipticity into the household. A cultural shift needed to take place so that consumers, in this case mostly women ....
