The National Gallery of Victoria will hope for a return to "business as usual" this December when it opens its annual summer blockbuster exhibition — Gabrielle Chanel: Fashion Manifesto.
The exhibition, travelling from the Palais Galliera (aka the City of Paris Fashion Museum) where it closes this weekend, features more than 300 items including 100 garments, spanning her six-decade career — all drawn from the Galliera's holdings, Chanel's heritage division, and loans from public museums and private collections.

The truck, which had been converted from a 1924 Citroën B12 9cv car, was found abandoned in a Bordeaux vineyard by a British tourist in the early 1990s.
The owner of the vineyard, Ernest Carrier, said the vehicle had belonged to his father who had used it on the farm and on occasion to transport members of the Resistance.
