across eastern coastal county areas of england and the chance of the odd shower in the mountains of scotland, but warmer than it has been for a while for many of us, temperatures up to 23 in london and glasgow. the high is still centred up across the uk on tuesday. a very similar story, perhaps a bit more cloud, feeding into central parts of england through tuesday and perhaps a bit more of an easterly breeze along the south coast. but temperatures nearly reaching average figures for the time of year, 2a there in glasgow and 22 or 23 degrees across southern england. they really did lag behind last week. high pressure moves a little, though, wednesday into thursday at the moment, it looks like. it pushes to the north of us and it shifts the winds across the eastern side of the uk. coming in off the relatively cooler north sea. that does mean for eastern counties the temperatures are likely to nudge back a little and we could see some thicker cloud clinging to the north sea coast, particularly by the time we get into thursday. wednesday, though, we're still looking at 2a degrees, with

hello, hello everyone, i hope you're doing all right. now, for most of us, yesterday was rather miserable. we saw outbreaks of rain, it was cloudy, we saw those thunderstorms as well, but today, i think for the majority, we will see a bit of an improvement. it's not a clear—cut story in that everyone will see sunny spells and gorgeous weather, we do have some scattered showers around, some of which may be heavy, but thanks to what we see here, very little on the satellite image, this is actually an area of high pressure. the cloud here, this is a weather front moving away from us and if i flip it over to the pressure chart, you can see the high, it's building. we will see these weather fronts move away from us. they brought some heavy rain this morning but they continue to leave the south—east and eastern parts. now, what you notice on the graphics is west is best, really. we'll see bright sunny spells developing here across parts of northern ireland and wales, southwest england, up through the midlands.

much a case of more the same, some early morning mist, perhaps, but the sun should make short work of that and then a bit more cloud across central england, but overall much more sunshine than we saw last week and as a result of that the return of some once. not a heatwave by any means, but up to 2a degrees in glasgow, warmer than it has been in a while. just a possibility once into thursday that as our high drift is a bit further northwards, cooler weather will come into the east of the uk once again and particularly for north sea coasts, as this direction of wind off the north sea tends to notjust feed in cooler air, but drug in stubborn cloud as well. the north—east of england looks like it could just touch that cloud through wednesday, still getting highs of 19 or 20 for the likes of newcastle and all, but full thursday we will see that cloud encroaching on the eastern shores more solidly and our temperatures could take a dip of about 3 or 4 degrees. 0n could take a dip of about 3 or 4 degrees. on a positive note, it looks like the high will shift again into next weekend and things will
