Politicians are happy to ignore the deficit and debt because fixing it provides pain particularly pain for voters. If they can somehow paper it over and say that is someone elses problem they are happy to do that. We spend a lot of time worry about the crisis of the day whatever that is is dont spend enough time looking at the long term problem in this country. We have a little rest. The deficit down probably because of the sequester and stopped spending stimulus measures and paid back tarp and weird accounting measures there. Host we have a little breathing room.
