the windows open, detroit, lexington, much of the ohio valley, the northeast, even d.c. this morning at 69 will feel kind of refreshing considering how hot your summer has been. look at northern new england, 52 degrees. some areas are a little cool, but we're still going to be well above average, a good chunk of the country during the day today, especially in the northern plains. fargo's going to be 86 degrees. that's 16 warmer than normal. memphis today you're going to threatening 100. you'll be 14 degrees warmer than you should be. atlanta is going to be about 11 degrees warmer than you should be. much of the middle of the country and much of the eastern part of the country is well above average, continues into tuesday. where little rock's going to be 96, st. louis at 90. even into wednesday we don't see a ton of relief as memphis will be near 100. here's your week ahead forecast. we don't have a lot of rain out there. we don't have a lot of storms. we're not going to see anything tropical that's going to be threatening us. humberto is going to be exiting and heading out to sea. that's only going to be a scare
a huge difference. we have our third hurricane of the atlantic season, this is humberto now heading away from the u.s. and away from the northern portions of the bahamas. it did plague that region with a lot of on and off rain over the last couple of days. this one's going to head out to sea. we have clear skies and really nice conditions in areas of the southeast actually producing a nice breeze and bringing down lower humidity. we still have rough conditions on the coast. we have 75 miles per hour winds, that makes it a minimum hurricane. it's slowly moving, and the reason now we're watching the lowes, we're going to have to wait and see how close it gets to bermuda. the hurricane center's latest forecast does have it coming are pretty close. bermuda is in the cone of uncertainty. it should become a pretty strong storm. as of now, we'll have to wait and see. it's not until about thursday morning it would get closest to bermuda. the hurricane wind probabilities

see results at botoxcosmetic.com just a couple of weeks after hurricane dorian devastated parts of the bahamas, the islands are facing another round of dangerous weather. right now tropical storm humberto is packing 50-mile-per-hour winds, bringing new worries for those still struggling to recover and rebuild after dorian. meteorologist karen mcginnis is tracking the storm for us and joins us from the cnn severe weather center. what kind of impact is humberto going to have on the bahamas? >> it looks like the weather conditions here will be deteriorating quite a bit over the next 12 to 24 hours as this tropical system begins to pull away from the bahamas. i want to emphasize that. but most of the energy associated with humberto, which is fairly poorly organized, but a lot of that deep convection is
along that eastern and northern edge of the system. you can see here to the south, not a whole lot of activity, but nonetheless, still enough energy from humberto, which is supporting winds of 15 miles per hour, to produce some heavy squalls. you'll see a pretty rough surf, but it looks like as far as the storm surge is concerned, there's going to be little, if any. now, it is moving off towards the northwest, and look at this. we don't generally see something like this, where the spaghetti models are in very, very good agreement, that this tropical system humberto will move off towards the northwest and very rapidly spin out into the open atlantic and maybe the next several days, we'll have to watch as it could possibly impact the bahamas at hurricane intensity. right now as far as florida is concerned, there are no watches, no warnings. there's a heavy surf. we're also looking at a rip current, and that makes it dangerous for people who have gone to the beautiful peninsula of florida to enjoy the nice
sharp turn and heading out into the middle of the ocean and maybe eventually over bermuda. again, here is what we're looking for, forges the motion of this storm. you see that sharp turn. it gets up to a category 1 storm and runs out to a category 2, maybe over bermuda by the time we get to wednesday and thursday. the good news, leland, as far as the united states goes, maybe some rip current risks, but we're not concerned about the tropical storm winds or anything of that nature getting to the coast. leland: they're awfully concerned about it. thanks, adam. kristin. kristin: our steve harrigan is live on the ground in the bahamas and we know they're still recovering from dorian, but what are they doing now to prepare for humberto? >> recovering, and this certainly complicates their efforts. keep in mind, d.o..ion just two weeks ago was a category 5 with 18 miles per hour winds that sat over the northern part of the bahamas for more than 36 hours. the devastation in some of the

sustained winds up to 90 miles per hour. the longer humberto sits in an open body of water in temperatures in the upper 80s here, it's going to gain strength. unfortunately, just on right now the bull's eye is abaco island because that system currently is not moving. so, forecasting this just prolonged event for at least the next 24 hours, potentially isolated areas from freeport to marsh harbour up to 6 inches. so, alex, this is going to be ongoing. the hurricane hunters are going to fly back in to see if this storm system starts to strengthen any more here at 1:30. so we'll keep you updated. but it's just unfortunate that we saw the movement of this storm, and two weeks before, it's stationary. >> i can't even believe when you said that. i had been tracking this as well with you, and when you said that, i went, no! it just can't be. >> unreal. >> janessa, thank you for that.
