That the federal government has the role of enforcing immigration. what we re seeing is republican run states trying to take control of immigration policies both by what they are doing unilaterally, but also there are over 20 lawsuits now spending from various combination of red states that are suing the biden administration to prevent them from changing the approaches, the hard line approaches that trump used. when you take unilateral action and the movement in federal court, you see the same kind of dual track tactic that red states used to overturn roe v wade. i think we are seeing something like that on the immigration front. i want to point to this new poll that shows only 29% of americans agree with this policy of shipping migrants to blue
