Tallahassee, Fla.  – Nine members of the Florida State swimming and diving teams were named to the 2022 All-ACC Academic Team on Thursday.

Izaak Bastian, Mason Herbet and Jakub Ksiazek were named to the men’s team, while Nina Kucheran, Jenny Halden, Tania Quaglieri, Edith Jernstedt, Gloria Muzito and Rebecca Moynihan were selected to the women’s.

“We have a lot of brilliant student-athletes on our team,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “These nine put in the work in the pool and in the classroom and they set a tremendous example for the rest of the team. I am very proud of how they represent FSU every day.”

Bastian (Athletic Training) and Ksiazek (Finance) earned the honor for the fourth time in their careers, two of four on the 46-man list to accomplish the feat.

Bastian was also awarded the ACC Postgraduate Scholarship this season, where he will continue his studies in athletic training following graduation.

Kucheran (Exercise Physiology) was chosen for her third team while Halden (Environmental Engineering), Herbet (Mechanical Engineering) and Moynihan (Sociology) were second-time honorees.  Quaglieri (Marketing), Jernstedt (Psychology) and Muzito (Elementary Education) earned their first nods.

Among the seven school records established this season, eight of the nine Noles were a part of five, including four from Kucheran.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
