Federal officials are hoping to get a better idea of what went wrong before the asiana flight crashed. Reporter ntsb investigators say asiana flight 214 was traveling too low add too slow as it approached San Francisco International Airport for landing. An audible alert [ beep beep ] consistent with the low air speed caution was recorded. Reporter 3 seconds later the pilots try to accelerate and aboard the landing but it was abort the landing but it was too late. The plane hit the seawall. The accident left three dead and more than 180 injured. The captain at the controls was still in training on the boeing 777. Reporter the pilot expected a wakeup call alert if the plane was traveling too slow. A retired pilot told investigators the plane is designed that way to always leave the pilot in charge.
