AIA settles media pitch for Singapore market Details 27 January 2021 AIA Singapore has appointed Arena Media as its media agency three months after it called for a pitch. Arena Media will be responsible for AIA Singapore’s media planning and buying, with a focus on developing and accelerating the brand’s digital strategy. The appointment will be effective from February 2021. The length of the appointment was previously said to be approximately three years, and the incumbent on the account is MediaCom. Former Allison+Partners APAC VP and Appier comms lead Susanna Hughes opens PR firm Details 20 January 2021 Former vice president of PR firm Allison+Partners, Susanna Hughes, has started her own PR firm Framework Communications. Hughes was previously with technology company Appier, where she helmed the role of director of communications for APAC for two years and four months. Starting with a team of one, Hughes (pictured) told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that her main priority to start with is getting a good stable of clients. While she is not hiring at the moment, she is keeping an open mind about growing the agency. AIA names former HOOQ Digital marketer as head of PR and marketing Details 14 January 2021 AIA has named Allison Chew as its head of PR, brand and marketing to take on the role previously held on by Joanna Ong-Ash who has started up her own communications firm. Chew (pictured) has over 20 years of experience in the media and advertising industry and was most recently with HOOQ Digital, a joint venture between Singtel, Sony Picture and Warner Bros. As part of the start-up team, she led the brand creation, communications strategy and launched the brand across South and Southeast Asia to drive growth and adoption for the video streaming app. She was also executive producer for HOOQ original content and delivered over 30 hours of content and helmed the HOOQ Filmmakers Guild programme for three years, focused on discovering and developing emerging film talent across South and Southeast Asia. ....
Details 13 January 2021 AIA Singapore s head of brand and corporate communications Joanna Ong-Ash has left the company after more than 10 years. Following her exit, she has launched her own communications consultancy, Bravery Communications. According to a press release, Bravery Communications sets out to help brands create compelling narratives that connect bold ideas with the right audience. Ong-Ash has also taken up a consulting lead role in Singapore for Hong Kong -based marketing consultancy, Neon Leaders, as part of its expansion plans in the region.
