Four patients went to the operating room for various procedures, and, unfortunately, one patient was deceased in the emergency room. Reporter shooters father spoke briefly to reporters late last night. This is a shock to everybody at what happened today. Obviously its been a devastating day, devastating for me and my family. Any surprise at all . Shocked, shocked is all i can say. Reporter a lot of shock, a lot of heartbreak here. Community speakers at the vigil last night credited Law Enforcement for the crick response, including two u. S. Marshalls who just happened to be here in rosenberg in an unrelated case. When they first heard reports of the shooting on the scanner, they raced to the campus and were among the First Responders, perhaps preventing more loss of life. Matt and savannah . Actually a rainy morning across large parts of the country. Willie along with al and tamron. Natalie is in rowsburg, oregon, covering the shooting on the campus of Umpqua Community college. Natalie, lets go right to you with the lateest. Guys, once again. Here we are at community college. Its actually closed and the road leading into the campus is closed through the weekend and will reopen again on monday. This is pretty much an active crime scene right now. This is a community really in mourning. Its a small town and rosenberg has 20,000 people and that kind of community where Everybody Knows everyone in town and last night over 1,000 people held a candlelight vigil at a nearby park to remember the victim and to honor and pay tribute to them because in times like these its the victims that we want to remember. New video, a terror attack in the middle east, the video shot outside a synagogue in jerusalem. Israeli police in a shootout with attackers after 26 seconds the terrorists were shot dead. Their rampage started during morning prayer. Their weapons were guns and axes. Ten people were inside praying at the time. Four of those people were killed. Six others were hurt. We came down from the top of the street and we saw we heard from the sirens the ambulance, police coming. We heard there was a terrorist came in here and it is a knife. To stab people.
