I talked to a member of congress who shared with me a story about the day before, seeing a group of people in maga hats not wearing masks. And at the time her concern was covid, saying why are they here, theyre not supposed to be here . Went up to a Capitol Police officer saying, why are they here, the answer being, there is nothing i can do about it because they were invited by a member of congress. This was underneath in the tunnels, not easy to get to. Its that kind of thing that has to be investigated. It is no small thing when she talked about trust. Its remarkable that we are sitting here wondering whether or not members of congress can trust one another, and they are saying openly, several of them now, that theyre worried about their own safety, not just from without, not ....

Evacuation flights just resuming in kabul the day after two suicide bombings targeted thousands of people, 13 Us Service Members were killed in the attack making it the deadliest day for us troops in 10 years. 18 other servicemembers were injured when the explosion occurred, they were flown out of kabul on c 70s with surgical units. Seen and much of what ambassador samad has shared with us as far. A great enthusiasm leading up to the vote and on election day despite significant threats, personal threats and amidst great personal risk that so many afghans came out and voted in those elections on saturday is really inspiring and we certainly observed that enthusiasm into places that our observers were able to get out and observed on election day. The turnout that is being reported at this point is somewhere around 7 million votes cast. I think we will see that number be refined a little bit as the results sheets come, and actually from the polling stations and into kabul to the National Tallying Center and it was just a few weeks ago where we were sitting around talking about her hats we distributed to many ballots around the country and the fact that one of the issues that we are now talking about is that there were shortages of ballots in places bec ....
