also in texas, abbott did the same thing. unfortunately, and you could just see the press conference h had, it's like he didn't want t do it, but you know what, we named an armed citizenry. so he did it, and i think that' a good thing. so i am pro-gun all the way. >> at wouldn't guessed it. >> i've always been on that, they have the rope i've always, i have a gun at my house, i go to the shooting range, i have a lot of fun doing it. >> what you have? >> i just have a little 9- millimeter glock. 9 millimeters is my favorite. >> katz, what, we talk about crime every day, and it feels like we are in a bubble, but we can't reach the people in control. >> nobody can reach anyone else which is really strange because even though were really divided on many things, i think something that pretty much everyone can agree on is that w

they brought me down to the studio, put me in front of the cameras, and as much as I run my mouth, I couldn't talk. They kept asking me questions. And then the tears start rolling. You cried? Yes, I cried because I was. I was just afraid. You know, I afraid of the unknown. How was it being a black voice in a sea of white voices at that time? Did you feel the weight of those expectations? Yes. Then people looking up to you? Yes, absolutely. But of course, I had a lot of, uh, detractors. We had a lot of coals to get that person awful of the air. Why do you have that person on the air? But the community was very supportive. I think there should be a, um or a better effort to reach the community and to make sure that the community is being oh being included in the story of what's going on in the nation. Because right now there's a lot going on. And of course, when I was growing up, there was a lot going on, and there's a bit of a parallel because you were involved in the sit ins with Clara Luper. Everything that went on here in Oklahoma. And now we're seeing a bit of a civil rights movement once again as people marching the streets and they fight for justice and they fight for inclusion. August the 19th, 1958 is when they started the march downtown Oklahoma City, um, to do a city in and it was always non violent, and Miss Looper had a trained to deal with whatever would come at us. I never would imagine that in this day and time we would still be dealing with our civil rights. Still fighting, Yes, but all the things that Miss Looper told us about the color of your skin that you are equal and you are as I don't wanna, Um, sometimes it makes me It makes me sad. And it makes me cry sometimes that here we are, still trying to get justice and trying to be treated equally. And it's all because of the color of our skins. For everybody's partisan, everybody's kind of thorn apart. We're still people are still out there marching and fighting for justice. What does the future hold for us here in America? I think We need to go back to the things that we're taught as little kids, to be kind to each other. I have to respect each other to care about each other. And and Dr Martin Luther King always said Love, triumph solved and that's what we need to do.
