Michael “Barney” Dillie recently completed his two-year term as chief of the Wellsville Fire Department. Dillie previously served a pair of two-year terms as second- and first-assistant chief, with the plaque marking all six years of service to the village from 2015-2021. Mayor Randy Shayler said such formal recognition of the outgoing chief was long overdue. Shayler credited Trustee Mike Roeske for suggesting an official acknowledgment of service to the village.
