martha: a frightening police case, from shelton, washington. back in october. watch this play out, near tacoma, oh, boy, the suspect leaves his mason county sheriff's deputy on a death-defying chase and when deputies caught up to him at a roadblock the suspect began ramming patrol cars. look at this guy, the officers opened fire and when it was over a deputy was hit in the leg by friendly fire and the suspect is now serving a 20-month sentence. we wanted you to see how that played out, back then. gregg: 20 months? she's emerging as a clear challenger to g.o.p. front-runner mitt romney but is congresswoman michelle bachmann the clear tea party candidate? this morning, she appeared on fox and says, that she can reach across the party lines.
maybe more concerned about the disruption to the laboratory mission and, just the work that we are trying to do. that is the primary concern, i guess. martha: interesting. all right, adam housely joins us live now, in l.a. with more on the threat to los alamos. >> reporter: you know, right now we are told by lab officials, none of the facilities, at this hour face immediate threat from flames and all the hazardous materials, all radioactive materials are accounted for and protected. and we have been told a highly trained and specially equipped expert has been brought into provide an extra layer of security and they are more concerned about smoke now than the flames and have people watching 60 different air monitoring stations, on the location there. and, the fire briefings have been taken place onsite as well and we have been told the last couple of minutes the lab will be closed now through wednesday, so, all nonessential personnel have been told not to come to work and as we know the town itself is dealing with this, and, so a lot of those people who work at the lab obviously live in the nearby town.
