This week the team at the Trivedi Centre for Political Data at Ashoka University unveiled its latest resource: A political career tracker, allowing anyone to follow the trajectory of election candidates for national polls as well as those of 20 states, going all the way back to 1962. The resource is only the latest in a series of tools and databases that have been made available by the Centre, where Belgian political scientist Gilles Verniers is co-director.

New Delhi: It’s an altogether new twist to the ongoing Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah row as for the first time a civil suit on behalf of the Yadav community has been filed before Mathura Civil Court claiming rights and ownership over the entire 13.37 acre land which includes both the temple and the mosque.
The suit filed in the Mathura District Court by one Manish Yadav, President of the Hindu Army through his advocate Shailender Singh calls Yadav as the legal heir of Lord Krishna and the entire Yadav community the descendants of Krishna.
