Speaking with Mediaite’s The Interview podcast, the CNN anchor bashed Fox News for what he deemed to be an increasing trend towards outrage content. Acosta highlighted the network’s call of Arizona for President Joe Biden in the 2020 election as a point at which they could have “come back to the real world.” Instead, the CNN anchor believes Fox has tried to cater to its audience, in a bid to claw back viewers from OAN and Newsmax, with what he labeled “more Trumpian” programming.
Liz Cheney subtweeted Donald Trump by contradicting the former president’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Trump released a statement on Monday to baselessly claim, once again, that he lost to President Joe Biden because the election was “fraudulent.” The former president then proclaimed that “The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!” Judging by his statement, Trump is trying to hijack “the big lie” as a phrase in order to perpetuate his evidence-free, propagandist claims that the election was corrupted by mass voter fraud. Kristi Noem (R-SD) were behind Bloomberg’s report which Miller said was incorrect. “I wonder who was pushing this story? Could it maybe be the supporters of Governor Noem?” Miller said facetiously before stressing that he did not want to “take anything away” from Noem. Miller noted that the former president has “kept his cards pretty close to the vest” vis-a-vis 2024, but insisted that Pence is not currently in danger of getting the hook, and that the former vice president is on good terms with Trump. “I can tell you, as someone who probably speaks with him on the political side as much, if not more than anybody else, never once has there been a conversation internally or in a group about doing something different for the VP position for 2024 if he decides to go that route,” Miller said. He added, “President Trump and Vice President Pence have had a couple of really good conversations since President Trump left office.”
