area right now. we are watching the gulf now. this is early. the last seven seasons, we had a named storm in the month of may. not a great chance of development. all the elements are there. heavy rainfall. here we go, out west. get ready. more high height. sacramento, average high is 82. mid-summer heat. too early for this. >> yeah, not a good omen for what's to come this summer. tom sader, thank you. >> sure. florida health officials say a person in broward county is in isolation for a presumptive case of monkey pox. the rare disease is mostly found in southwest and central africa. additional cases have been reported in other parts of the world. a case was reported in massachusetts. that patient recently traveled to canada. doctors say the florida case is also related to international travel but offered few other details. this comes amid a rise in covid-19 infections.

temperatures are creating windchills of 10 to 20 degrees below zero in some areas, including very chilly in florida where temperatures dropped so low the national weather service in miami warned about falling iguanas. take a look at those pictures right there. once the temperature drops below 45, the reptile goes into this dormant state and they are not dead. just temporarily stunned until they are able to warm up. unfortunately that means they can fall from trees and that's exactly what happens all the time. meteorologist tom sader joining me. that is so creepy, but that's what happens. >> it is. >> iguanas falling from the skies. >> yep. and some of them are pretty good in size, too. it's going to happen again tonight. another iguana alert. look at the numbers across the florida peninsula. in miami, they had their coldest morning in ten years.

dangerous weather. meteorologist tom sader is joining us. tell us who's in the path of the possible bomb cyclone. >> it's mainly going to hug the coastline from the lower eastern shore all the way up through the coastal maine. you like me remember the blizzard of '78. crippling storm. the biggest storm in history until 2003. the numbers are two-day totals for boston. this is a single day storm so look at the boston record for a greatest snowfall in 24-hour period. looking at 18 to 24 inches. boston down into plymouth county and not be surprised to see a three-foot total somewhere. we're waiting for the storm to develop. the energy ejected from the rockies yesterday.
