With the latest on the investigation. Reporter one of the biggest pieces of information that we learned is that many people never had a chance to escape the building. Investigators believe that the smoke went up the stairwells and trapped people on the second floor. They believe that the fire started on the first floor. There were two stairwells inside of the warehouse but neither led to an exit. On top of that, there was no evidence of a fire alarm system or sprinklers in the building and the victims were consumed by smoke before they could not get. The fire was well developed by the time the people on the second floor realized that there was a fire. The whole warehouse has been searched but atf investigators will remain on the scene, examining the physical evidence. There were 36 victims. 32 families have been notified.
