Nearby pier says it was around 6 30 this morning when he heard the lady swimmer start screaming for help. He recognized her as regulars out here in the park who swim out here on a daily basis, or at least a regular basis. She was able to swim to shore. The San Francisco Fire Department says one of their retired paramedic who also happened to be out here swimming was able to assist. The sea lion did bit her on the knee or in that area, nonlife threatening injury. Brian says there was a big bite. She was in shock over the bite and stuff, but she was handling it well, really.
