American voters have had their say, and in more significant numbers than ever. Joe Biden racked up the most massive popular vote in the nation’s history, projected to be about 81 million votes.
That Donald Trump won about 75 million votes, expanding his total over 2016 by eight million, cannot be overlooked. However, Biden will likely have the second-largest vote margin since 2000 and greater than Trump’s disparity against Hillary Clinton. About four million of Trump’s votes came from California, where Biden took over 65% of the vote.

Devin Nunes Loses Another Defamation Lawsuit

Nunes may be the country’s runner-up for Most Lawsuits Laughed Out Of Court, losing only to his adored Donald Trump.
Law & Crime has the deets on this one, but here’s an overview:
Congressman Devin Nunes, a California Republican, on Christmas Eve received the legal equivalent of a lump of coal in his stocking: a federal district court judge in Washington, D.C. dismissed a defamation case Nunes launched against The Washington Post and writer Shane Harris. Thus, Nunes, the perennial loser of lawsuits, lost yet again. The case is but one of several Nunes has filed against the Post in a lengthy docket of litigation.

Fresno-area politicians spent big in races for Congress. Here’s what it cost to win — and lose [The Fresno Bee]
Dec. 24—Anyone with a TV or a mailbox knows that candidates for Congress in Fresno and the surrounding central San Joaquin Valley pulled out all the stops to convince people to vote for them — or, in some cases, to vote against their opponent.
Between TV commercials that flooded the airwaves, mailers that clogged mailboxes and other types of campaign spending in the weeks before the election, candidates’ campaign committees in the 16th, 21st and 22nd congressional districts spent more than $35 million, according to post-general election reports to the Federal Elections Commission for the 2020 election cycle.

Ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., questions National Security Council Director for European Affairs Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and Jennifer Williams, adviser to Vice President Mike Pence for European and Russian affairs during testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in the Longworth House Office Building on Capitol Hill on Nov. 19, 2019, in Washington.
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told KMJ Now Radio on Friday that he tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. His wife and children still need to be tested for antibodies.
The results suggested the congressman from Tulare may have had the virus without knowing, but this is not definitive. "There is a chance that a positive result means you have antibodies from an infection with a different virus from the same family of viruses," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

candidates who are challenging the opponents, you can't paint the media to allow what's happening on national television to help your campaign in that regard. again, i'm one of those people who gave to some of these opponents. you just can't believe you are watching public servants, being paid by your taxpayer dollars acting so unethically and ridiculously as they are. >> how tricky is it for politicians like phil. >> i agree that especially in this day in age, not just are you playing for national tv, but trying to go viral and get your message out to as many people as possible. on the democratic side, i clipped something from shawn patrick mahoney where he nailed tkpopbd on his evasiveness and how long it took him to get to the truth. that really blew up.

message and having the resources to do that. ultimately, we're going to have to go to the polls in november of 2020 and vote out devin nunes. i encourage everyone to go to phil arballo and chip in $5, $10, $15, whatever you can so we can once and for all get rid of devin nunes as our representative here in the 22nd. >> thank you very much. i appreciate it. . >> appreciate it. >> it is being called authoritarian, ignorant of history, the other was implicated in the ukraine scandal. that's next. that's next. we made usaa insurance for members like martin. an air force veteran made of doing what's right, not what's easy. so when a hailstorm hit, usaa reached out before he could even inspect the damage. that's how you do it right. usaa insurance is made just the way martin's family needs it -
