According to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, the federal government “will have no tolerance for price gouging” during this crisis. She encouraged gas station owners to “act responsibly” by pricing their gas fairly.

The city is reviewing permit applications for the proposed Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores location and Speedco Tire Shop on 16.65 acres at 12921 Duval Road at a combined cost of almost $4.56 million. Bojangles Inc. will operate a restaurant in the travel stop. Harrison French & Associates Ltd. of Bentonville, Arkansas, is the architect and engineer. Oklahoma City-based Love’s Travel Stops plans a convenience store, restaurants and fuel services for cars and tractor-trailers at Duval Road and Interstate 295, near the Amazon fulfillment center. RaceTrac at Pritchard RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. is moving ahead on plans to build an 8,100-square-foot gas station and convenience store with 20 fueling positions on 4.39 acres at Perimeter Industrial Parkway West at northeast I-295 and Pritchard Road.

RaceTrac Kicks Off Reentry Into Alabama Market ATLANTA â RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. reached a milestone. The Atlanta-based convenience store retailer opened a new store in Gardendale, Ala., marking the chain s reentry into the Alabama market after 15 years. According to RaceTrac, the expansion into Alabama deepens its roots in the southeastern region. The company will be building a number of c-stores throughout the Yellowhammer State, in addition to a number of locations in the permit phase in the Irondale, Alabaster, Gadsden, Huntsville and Muscle Shoals areas. The next store, in Oxford, is slated to open in March 2021. Each RaceTrac provides about 90 trade jobs during the construction phase and up to 20 career opportunities to the community. Employment opportunities in the new Gardendale store are now available.

Yesway Scales Up Its Senior Leadership Team FORT WORTH, Texas Yesway is expanding its senior leadership team by hiring two industry veterans. Tate Cutrer will serve as the new senior vice president of human resources (HR), while Aaron Everett will become the company s new chief information officer. Cutrer s previous position was director of talent development and learning for RaceTrac Petroleum Inc., where he also held various senior HR roles across the company, including regional HR director of operations and director of recruitment. Everett most recently served as chief information officer for Lucky s Market, where he led all IT strategy, budgeting and operational initiatives for 75 stores across the United States.
