time now for cnbcs by. let's bring in silvia amaro. what can we expect from wall street today? >> good morning. so it will be a positive start to the trading day and week on wall street. this is after we saw a very rough end to the trading week last week. just to give you an idea, there was a special focus on tech. we saw the sector ending the week, down by more than 7%. some analysts have explained that, suggesting what we saw was a repositioning among investors as we await to hear from some of the big tech companies that are due to report this week. just to give you an idea, we're going to hear from meta, microsoft, and alphabet. it's also likely to be a very busy week for investors on the data front. we're going to get new gdp figures in the united states as well as cpe numbers.
