On saturday, we got a fresh glimpse into Donald Trumps finances because the New York Times obtained trumps state tax records all the way back to 1995 when they were mailed to a reporter. Documents showed trump declaring a loss of nearly a billion dollars. In fact, specifically 916 million. That kind of huge loss could have easily allowed trump to avoid paying federal income taxes for many, many years. I wants to make it clear that cnn cant confirm the authenticity of the documents. The Trump Campaign released a statement in response to the report. They say mr. Trump is a highly skilled businessman with a fiduciary responsibility to shis business, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required.
