CSPAN3 Key Capitol Hill Hearings October 1, 2014

Of adaptations. We took a wall and started writing all over the Different Things on the wall we thought drones were going to be used for. We came up with a lot of the common commercial ones we talked about here. Then we also kind of had a section of the wall where we wanted to come up with some of the things that we hoped and we wanted to see drones really used for. And aerial delivery of medicines. And those are two examples that we have been involved in since. Any other one of the interesting requests we got early days, walmart found us and they asked us if this is something they publicly talk about. They do, they use satellite imagery to figure out how many people go to the stores. But they want to take a step further and find out how many people go to the stores based on their commercials on tv. So being able to map that and correlate that based on i did this ad campaign and 30 people showed up at the store. Globally and reg ....

Against technology. That was actually we had this conversation a little bit about some of the limits of kind of online activism or some people say hash tag activism. This ability of just masses of people to bring attention to these issues, right, and we talked about how that kind of bubbled up during the whole Malaysian Airlines hysteria where, you know, we all of a sudden started paying attention to these 200 kidnapped girls. The other analog is joseph coney, coney 2012. One of the most Massive Campaign we have seen in terms of online activism and it was all these eyes now focused on the whole premise was lets make coney famous and that will lead to some sort of capture, but still, as you say, coney is still out there, we havent found most of these girls. So there are , as we said, limis to what technology can be, especially if you have people trying to evade. It goes ....

Global economy actually means and i think thats a good place to start. Certainly as we create new processes with dealing with harsh environments, that brings us to have a skill we didnt have before. Thats one way to enhance competitiveness, assume iing th other thing, it forces us to think of ways to make things more Cost Effective in a constrained environment. That, by its nature, is forcing a number of companies now to look at their manufacturing processes, their development processes. As we talked about with stem, having a mission like this, and the many step it is takes to make this mission real, if we do our jobs right and we provide that inspiration of what this is, that will draw people, new people into our companies, you know. And that enhances by rejuvenating, and bringing a different mindset. As ken said we tend to have an older workforce right now. Infusing that workforce with a number of, you know, large percentage of ....

Doesnt help people at the bottom. We have the second Fastest Growing and most of those jobs are flat out on the bottom. People are trapped with no way up and no way out. No one can live on the minimum wage. You try to take care of a family and it is impossible to do. If we care about each other and the future, we will pay people in this state a wage that allows them to take care of themselves and their families. Governor, thank you. Representative richardson, i want to ask a quick clarification on that question. In 2015, ts minimum wage will be 9. 25 an hour. You talked about that being an entry level wage. Do dwrou think it should be higher or stay the same in 2015 . I think minimum wage should probably stay with the same program that we have now because it is indexed. We need to not focus on minimum wage but focus on people and that takes a vibrant economy. Our unemployment has been higher than the

Manufacturing a new Competitive Edge in this global economy. The best thing washington can do is to encourage further growth in investment. As president obama noted in his recent speech touting 3d printing hubs, if you want to attract more good manufacturing jobs, you need to be on the cutting edge. Our company could not agree more.
