his debut yesterday in detroit. he had a shaky start. he gave up back-to-back home runs in the first, but then he settled down and pitched pretty well. he got zero run support for the mets who have stopped hitting. the tigers compete a three game sweep. to boston now, the red sox notched another win completing a four-game sweep of it toronto blue jays last night. they only beat the blue jays last year and the sox jump over the jays for now into third place in the al east five games over 500. meanwhile, the deaths of four horses at churchill downs in the week leading up to tomorrow it was kentucky derby has cast a real shadow. the causes of two of the fatalities remain a mystery with the trainer of those two horses now suspended. in a statement the head of churchill downs said, quote,
