And down, you know this area pretty much all day long and all night long as well. people are on the ground trying to help. there s so much to do. we spoke to survivors. i spoke to a guy who s probably just a few blocks down here. he lives in a subdivision where there s, like, 300, 400, 500 people. there are squad cars post there and he said, he can t get any help. no food, no water. just because of how dire the situation is in so many neighborhoods like his. there are levels of priority above his, which is crazy to think about, because who knows if people have medical conditions in these communities that are trapped. here are some survivors stories that we ve managed to get underground. listen to this. just gratitude. nothing but gratitude that we are here and for all the people out there doing it. we should not be alive right now. we should be alive right now with that storm. the power of that storm, i mean, if that would ve crashed into the side of the house, i mean, we would ve been swept away. it was insane. it was absolutely insane.

From where that storm made landfall and yet, the wind and the rain here in st. petersburg has been tremendous. it is expected to continue throughout the night, leading to possible wind damage, we are looking at downed power lines, we re looking at flash flooding. these are all things that local officials are concerned about. we have heard scattered reports along with widespread power outages, about 140,000 customers in the st. petersburg area alone. expand that out to the entirety of the metro bay area and it is hundreds of thousands of people. utility trucks, squad cars is what we are expecting tomorrow going street by street for a few reasons. one, to make sure that nobody is trapped, everybody is okay. but also to check for those downed power poles. fires could spring up when first responders, tonight and to also see if there are those scattered instances of flash flooding in neighborhoods, maybe throughout the county.

Help, like some seasoned method actor. and ran from this twilight zone episode. when they got home, they called the police. so squad cars were on the streets. as it angle toward the horizon. but then, after supper, quiet. nothing out of place. nothing amiss. that was that. until, weeks later when police came back here looking for johnny altinger. and they wondered, was the guy in the alley, actually johnny, not an actor? a real victim? one of them went downtown to check on a report that was taken from trevor and marissa. and? it did not fit. that call was taken a week before johnny disappeared. besides, no victim ever came forward. no one claimed to have been attacked by a masked man. the whole thing sounded almost like, well, like a scene from a movie.

Know, they could appropriately run it because there is, remember in the fisa court there is no opposing side. kind of like the january 6th committee and we see what a disaster that is right now. steve: so the republicans are going to run on this. talk about the raid. trump s political team sent out fundraising solicitations about the search late last night. meanwhile, matthew, as you know, it s not the fbi just saying hey, let s all get a bunch of squad cars and go over to mar-a-lago and see what we can find in the safe. they the doj, in concert with the fbi, had to present evidence at a probable cause hearing with a judge. and the judge had to look at the stuff. so for it to be at this historic level, i mean, there has never been a raid at the honestly of a former president ever. so the fbi and the doj must have known exactly what they were looking for and you wonder whether or not somebody from,

Trouble. this video is shocking, the officer felt scared, nowhere to turn. how can we turn chicago around if kids think this is okay? the police need to be able to show there are consequences for bad action, charging police, throwing fireworks and m-80 ss into squad cars should have consequences. our officers are not allowed to engage, they are addressing criminality in their midst and we are no longer allowed to chase offenders. how can you expect things to come back to normal, police are not able to apprehend criminals in the city, that falls on the superintendent and mayor who endanger the lives of chicagoans.

Want to go to the store like that gentleman was doing then we do for folks committing crimes and running away from police. steve if somebody is stealing a car that s not a felony. i know they won t chase on foot. i wonder if they are even going to chase in their squad cars now ultimately you can see how this is going to lead to a rash of people running into a store and grabbing what they can and running off because they know by law in chicago. the cops can t chase them. we have a question of priority. i step back and think about is it more likely that i m going to be driving in my car and be, you know, attacked by a carjacker that, you know, somebody s business is going to be broken into, or that i m going to be being chased by the police? so when i talk about making the street safe for criminals.

Which may apply depending on the facts with regard to this school chief of police and what he knew. the hope here and what this unit does for a living at doj is that they discern best practices and share them and make recommendations for training and even grant money. so, for example, if they were to find that nobody, none of the police on scene, which by the way they find hard to believe, none of the 19 officers in that hallway had proper breaching tools, they might make the recommendation for grant money to give communities around the country enough breaching tools to put in squad cars. if they find that radio communications were totally broken down, that that school chief of police was on a different frequency or turned his radio off, they ll make recommendations regarding cross frequency radio ban sharing. if they find out he thought this was a hostage negotiation but he didn t know how to negotiate because there was no trained negotiator present, well, they ll make recommendations about negotiation training.
